Advisor - Sir Oliver Hart

Professor Hart is an Advisor at Charles River Consulting Studio. In 2016, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for his contributions to Contract Theory. He is currently a professor of economics at Harvard University. 

*Please note, although Professor Oliver Hart is a professor at Harvard University, he does not participate in any undergraduate admissions decision processes at Harvard University. He will not directly influence the admissions outcomes of any particular university, and his role in our team is to provide professional consultation and academic guidance.

Allen (Harvard)

Allen is an undergraduate student at Harvard University, double majoring in Computer Science and Economics. He received undergraduate admissions from top institutions including Harvard University and Stanford University.

 

Currently, he has successfully helped students gain admission to prestigious universities such as Harvard University, Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, University of California, Los Angeles, Johns Hopkins University, and Northwestern University.

Thomas (Harvard)

Undergraduate student from Harvard University, majoring in Astrophysics.

 

Gained admission to six Ivy League Universities including Harvard University, Princeton University, Yale University, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, and Cornell University. Thomas was also admitted to several other top institutions such as Stanford University, Northwestern University, and many others.

Thomas has extensive experience in planning for Top 10 and Top 20 applications.

Nancy (MIT)

Nancy is an undergraduate student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with a double major in Computer Science & Engineering and Mathematics.

 

Nancy has extensive experience in consulting STEM-oriented students and coaching math competitions. In high school, she was also actively involved in researching international relations and political science.

Chris (Harvard)

Chris is an undergraduate student at Harvard University, majoring in Statistics and minoring in Government. Before coming to Harvard, he received academic and extracurricular recognition from Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania.

His background as a world-class chess player has developed skills that have mentored students, players, and communities in strategic and creative ways. More importantly, it’s shown him that each person has limitless potential with the appropriate guidance –– no matter the background.

Kira (Harvard)

Kira is an undergraduate student at Harvard University, pursuing a double major in Psychology and Statistics and a minor in Economics.

Her admission to Harvard during the competitive Restricted Early Action round underscores her exceptional academic abilities and foresight in planning her educational trajectory. Prior to this, Kira was also accepted into several highly selective pre-college programs, including the Notre Dame Leadership Seminar, Stanford Summer Humanities Institute, and the UPenn Wharton Leadership in the Business World program.

Kira's expertise shines in her ability to craft personalized narratives and strategize application processes. Her approach is tailored, insightful, and deeply empathetic, allowing her to connect with students' individual stories and aspirations.

Miho (MIT)

Miho is an MIT undergraduate majoring in Artificial Intelligence & Decision Making with a minor in Finance.

 

Her acceptances to top-tier institutions like Stanford University, MIT, and UC Berkeley underscore her exceptional character.


During high school, Miho excelled in competitive programming, achieving the esteemed USACO Platinum rank. Her early passion for artificial intelligence led her to conduct impactful research, both during high school and at MIT.

 

Miho brings extensive experience in guiding students through competitive programming competitions. Her expertise extends to mentoring and advising in college consulting, offering valuable insights throughout the academic journey.

Cory (Harvard)

Cory is an undergraduate at Harvard University studying Computational Neuroscience and minoring in Economics.

 

He has gained admission to six of the eight Ivy League institutions including Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, and Brown University.

 

Additionally, he was admitted to Stanford University, Duke University, Northwestern University, and many others.

 

His background on the international stage as a pianist and teacher has helped him develop a unique perspective on college admissions, leveraging music passion with other disciplines to achieve limitless potential.

 

Cory has extensive experience building personalized applications tailored to every student and specializes in essay review.

Cassandra (MIT)

Cassandra is an undergraduate at MIT studying Computer Science and Engineering.

 

Before college, she was a 3x International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Finalist and a Siemens Competition Semifinalist. 

 

At MIT she has continued her passion for research in the field of computer vision, where she has presented at conferences and authored first-author publications. 

 

Cassandra has a substantial background in helping students achieve their academic goals and strongly believes in each and every student’s potential.

 

Her discipline and rigor, coupled with her commitment to helping her students craft compelling narratives, make her an invaluable mentor.

Dyllan (Stanford)

Dyllan is an undergraduate student at Stanford University, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Creative Writing. 

 

Before college, he was a 3x nationally awarded Speech and Debate competitor and an avid writer of essays, short stories, and poetry, receiving recognition from The New York Times and the Scholastic Awards. Dyllan also has teaching experience in speech and debate and creative-writing. Dyllan was also accepted into numerous competitive pre-college programs, such as the Stanford Humanities Institute and the UChicago Immersion program.

 

Dyllan’s experience in the humanities, both pedagogically and experientially, means he brings extensive experience in crafting a compelling narrative for your application.

Angel (Harvard)

Angel is an undergraduate student at Harvard University pursuing a double major in Art History and Economics with a minor in Biology. She was admitted to Harvard through the highly selective Restrictive Early Action (REA) program.

Angel graduated cum laude from The Lawrenceville School, one of the most prestigious private high schools in America. At Lawrenceville, she captained the varsity golf team for two consecutive years, was co-president of the Visual Arts Club & Council, and served for two years as Arts Editor on the school newspaper. Outside of school, Angel has extensive experience with historical/archival research, and was one of the first high school students to intern at Harvard’s Chinese Art Media Lab (CAMLab), where she focused on UI design, graphic design, and strategy development.

Angel’s strength lies with her interdisciplinary background and experience in the arts and humanities. She believes in the importance of pursuing one’s true passions, and is committed to helping students craft the most unique, authentic narratives about themselves.

Joseph (MIT)

Joseph is an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) studying Computer Science, Economics, and Data Science with a double major in Business Analytics.

 

Joseph has helped dozens of students via college admissions consulting, and he has created hours of online content helping high schoolers write their essays, choose extracurriculars, and craft their stories in the admissions process.

 

He has a strong background in STEM subjects (including Math Team and Chemistry Olympiad), and he was recruited by schools such as MIT, Caltech, Carnegie Mellon, and Johns Hopkins to play college tennis.

Claire (MIT)

Claire is a freshman at MIT double majoring in EECS and Neuroscience with a minor in Public Policy.

 

In high school, she has done extensive research in the field of Neuroscience and Computer Science and was elected to join RSI, the most prestigious research program in the world.

 

Claire has also worked for various startups and non-profits and ran a series of events to encourage people to build technical side projects. 

She has mentored many students for various competitions in high-level biology and neuroscience, math, and beyond.

 

She truly believes in the value of loving the things that you do and, through her work in education and advocacy, has taught her that everyone has the potential to be great.

Will (Harvard)

Will Hahn is a consultant at CRCS and an undergraduate at Harvard University, majoring in statistics with a minor in English, with exceptional prowess in business and finance. During his college application process, Will received offers from top universities including Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and Columbia.

In high school, Will attended the prestigious Horace Mann School, which laid the foundation for his outstanding academic achievements. He demonstrated remarkable leadership and versatility in both academic and extracurricular activities. From elite math competitions to tennis championships and national writing contests, Will showcased his talents across multiple fields. Additionally, he excelled in business competitions and entrepreneurial projects, highlighting his potential and leadership in the business domain.

Over the past two years, Will has successfully guided several students into top universities, including Ivy League schools such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Columbia, as well as Stanford University and MIT. By providing personalized guidance and leveraging his deep understanding of the business field, Will has helped students stand out in the application process and achieve their academic and career goals.

LeAnn (MIT)

LeAnn is an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) studying Computer Science and minoring in Finance.

Throughout high school, LeAnn was a top scorer in numerous biology competitions, ranking 2nd globally at the International Medicine Olympiad and top 150 at the USA Biolympiad. Her research in bioengineering won recognition at international conferences, and she has received international awards for violin. She was the founder of a nationally recognized biology mentorship organization, a 501(c) nonprofit, a biology competition that gained the participation of over 100 teams across the world each year, and a webinar series on biology education with thousands of attendees.

She has received offers from multiple globally ranked universities: Caltech, which has a 2.7% acceptance rate; Johns Hopkins's Biomedical Engineering program which enrolls only 100 students a year; University of California, Berkeley, and more.

LeAnn is an expert at creating unique initiatives and knows how to showcase her students' passions and potential. Under her guidance, LeAnn's students have gained admission to Stanford University, Yale University, and more.

Karie (MIT)

Karie is an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), majoring in Bioengineering and minoring in Neuroscience.

She was accepted to Columbia University, Cornell University, and Duke University as an Angier B. Duke Scholar, a full-ride merit scholarship offered to the top 6 applicants in the incoming class for commitment to discovery and meeting societal challenges. Karie has 4 years of experience in biology and psychology research at top universities and attended New Jersey's Governor’s School in the Sciences, a prestigious summer research program for the top 60 high school students in the state. She also has experience with scientific and journalistic writing, including for New Jersey's largest newspaper, as a high school student. Karie founded multiple medical education and mental health programs at high schools around her state, reaching over 20,000 students in one year. She was awarded by the American Academy of Pediatrics for her work at the 2022 Children's Ball.

Karie has guided high school students in landing research positions and gaining admission to universities including Yale, Cornell, and Johns Hopkins. Her expertise as an advisor lies in helping students to pursue their passions and talents and to craft a unique, personal story that demonstrates they are an excellent fit for top universities.

Peter (Stanford)

Peter is an undergraduate student at Stanford University, pursuing a double major in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.

 

During his college application process, he received offers from several top-tier universities. Most notably, he was admitted to the University of Pennsylvania’s Management & Technology program, the most prestigious business program in the world, admitting less than 60 students per year. He was also awarded the prestigious UC Berkeley Regents' Full Scholarship, which is granted to only 50 students worldwide.

In high school, Peter was ranked 5th in the nation (USA) for his swimming achievements and held several national and international records in competitive swimming. He is also the author of two computer science patents and the third author of a research paper that was submitted to Science Magazine, one of the most prestigious science journals globally.

Under his guidance, many students have successfully gained admission to some of the best universities in the world such as MIT, Stanford, University of Pennsylvania, Brown, UC Berkeley, and many others.

Sean (MIT)

Sean is an undergraduate student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, pursuing a major in Biological Engineering.

During her college application process, she received offers from several top-tier universities, including Ivy League schools and top -10 universities.

In high school, Sean excelled in multiple areas beyond academic excellence. She was selected to the US Women's Soccer national team regional training center and earned First Team All-State honors. Additionally, she co-founded a science blog that educated audiences on science fields and professions, growing the blog to reach more than 10 thousand people around the world. She also did research at Johns Hopkins University and was a co-author of two publications.

As a tutor and writing advisor in high school, Sean has substantial experience helping students achieve their academic goals. She strongly believes in cultivating each student’s unique passions and is committed to helping them amplify their impact and craft a compelling narrative.

Merrick (MIT)

Merrick is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics at Harvard University, specializing in geometric representation theory. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he majored in mathematics and computer science.

During his college application process, he received offers from nearly all top-tier universities, including all of the top five: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, and Princeton. He achieved top scores in competitions such as the USAMO and ISEF.

In high school, Merrick excelled not only academically but also in multiple other areas. He participated in many prestigious competitions and won most of them, including the USAMO, ISEF, and Regeneron, while also conducting research through the MIT PRIMES program.

He is particularly skilled at mentoring students in STEM and interdisciplinary STEM fields. Of the students he has guided, most successfully gained admission to MIT.
